SUPV ITSPEC (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC)

As a SUPV ITSPEC (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC), GS-2210-12, you will perform a full range of supervisory functions providing administrative control and technical direction and oversight for subordinate personnel. Responsible for oversight of all functions in the Information Systems Branch. Performs oversight of the Unit COMSEC program. Ensures viable training programs exist for all assigned network systems and Information Assurance (IA) programs and procedures. GENERAL
Experience:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. 1. Experience:
Positions at GS-7 (or equivalent) and above require one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent).Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. The employing agency is responsible for defining the specialized experience based on the requirements of the position being filled.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
